·        Slide – Each page of presentation is called slide in which we can type text by using placeholders insert picture chart or other graphics animate object add movie and sound play this during presentation run time.

·        Slide Layout – Slide layout contain formatting positioning and placeholder boxes for all of content that appears on a slide placeholder are the dotted-line containers on slide layout that hold such content as titles body text table charts smartArty graphics picture clip art videos and sount slide layout also contain the color font effects and the background (collectively known as the them ) of a slide.

To open Microsoft office powepoint 2013

·        Method 1 – Open Microsoft powerpoint by clicking on the icon on your disktop .

·        Method 2 -  Click on start button – All programs – Select Microsoft office – Microsoft office powerpoint 2013.

·        Powerpoint 2013 will open and you see the start screen.

Ø In powerpoint 2013 these are two ways to create a presentation.

a)     By using Template.

b)    By Using Blank Presentiton.

Ø Inserting and editing text on slides it is oimportant to know how to insert and edit text on slide.

Step 1 – When you create a new presentation thr first slide to appear is a title slide.

Step 2 -   It contains two placholder a title pracholder and a sub title placholders.

Step 3 -  To add text click within the placholder and type.

Step 4 -  After entering the text if you want to after anything place coursor and after your text.

Step 5 – Finish and run you slide show or press F5.

As now have created a presentation file the you can also inster a new slide into the presentation or delete a specific slide from the presentation according to your need .

 

To insert a new slide in the presentation do the following -----

Step 1­------ Click on the home tab .

Step 2------- Click on new slide in the group.

Step 3------- Choose the desired slide layout from the menu that appears.

Step 4------ The new slide will appear click any placehlder and begin typing to add text you can also click on icon to add other types of content such as a picture or a chart.

 

·        Animating text and abject --------   Powerpoint allows you do animate any slide object that can be select on be your slide such object in clude pictures shapes text bulleted lists smartart graphics charts etc.

 

There are following animation effects appears in MS Powerpoint ie.

·        Entrance ----------   There control how the object enters the slide suppose you select bounce animation then object will ‘fall’ into the slide and than bounce several times during presentation run time.

·        Emphasis -----------  These animations occur while the object on the slide often triggred by a mouse click suppose you select spin animation then selected object will spin onto the slide when you click from the mouse during presentation runtime.

·        Exit ----------  These control how the object exits the slide suppose you select fade animation then selected object will simply fade away from the slide.

·        Motion Paths --------  These are similar to emphasis effects except the object moves within the slide along a predetermined path like a circle exphasis.
