Introduction to photoshop --- Adobe photoshop is an extremely powerful application that's used by many professional photographers and designers you can use photoshop for almost any type of omage editing from touching up photo to creating high quality graphics photo editing can be used to enhance exposure remove and add unwanted object color editing of image.
Features of photoshop ---
1). Selection -- It is an area of aphoto that you can define when you create a selection the area is editing (for example you can lighten one part of a photo without effecting the rest) thus applying a change selection without affecting the entire picture.
2). Layer ---In photoshop layer are used to work on individualparts of an image while not affecting other parts you might say that layers are link transparency paper stacked on top ofone another separately drawn on without disturbing each other you move a layers to position the content on the layer.
3). Image size alteration ---- Image editors can resize image in a proces often called image scaling making them larger or smaller high image resolution cameras can produce larger image which are often reduced in size for internet use.
4). Cropping ----- Cropping is the process of removing portions of a photo to create focus or strighten the composition use the crop tool to crop straighten photoes in photoshop.
5). Histogram --Image editors have provisions to create an image histogram of the image being edited the histogram plots the number of pixels in the image with a paraticular brighteness value algorithms in the digital editor allow the user tovisually adjust the brightness value of each pixel and to dynamically display the results as adjustments are made improvements in picture brightness and contrast can thus be obtained.
6). Selecting color change --- Some image editor have color swapping abilities to selectively change the color of specific items in an image giventhat the selected items are within a specific color range.
7). Stamp clone tool --- The color selected and samples an area of your picture and then uses these pixels to paint over any marks the clone stamp tool acts like a bruse so you chang the size allowing cloning from just one wide to hundreds you can change the opacity to producea a subtle clone effect in photoshop this tool is called clone stamp but it may also be called a rubber stamp tool.
8). Color adjustments ---- The color of image can be altered in a variety of ways colors can be faded in and out and tones can be changed using curves or other tools the color balance can be improved which is important if the picture was shot indorrs with daylight film or shot on a camera with the white balance incorrectly set.
Opening photoshop Cs2 -------
Click either the shortcut icon at the disktop.
Click on start -- Select all programs --- Adobe -- Photoshop Cs2 in your computer systems.
Doing so you will see the splash screen of the application opening
Creating a file in photoshop ------
i) Click file menu and choose new command option.
ii) Press CTRL +N buttons together to do the same.
iii) Doing this you can be able to see a dailog with number of certain scales to be mentioned see the picture below and that after click ok button to aceept the scale and features about a new file to be created and manipulated.
Saving a file in photoshop ----
To save a photoshop file follow the given steps. ----
i) Once you created a photoshop file then you can go ahead saving this for doing that follows the given steps .
ii) Click file menu ----- Save command press CTRL+S --- Press Shift + CTRL+S.
iii) If you save the file for the first time them save as dialog box will appear type the desired file name then choose a location for the file you want to use a new file name to avoid accidentally overwriting the orginal file.
1). Move Tool -----
If is used a drag a selected [art of an image to a new location in the image.
Do the following steps to used move tool.
i) Open an image and select a part of the image which you want to move.
ii) Select the move toll from the tools panel or press v the pointer changes to sign.
iii) Which holding the left mouse button drag the selected image to the point where you want to place it than release the mouse button.
Note ------ To copy a selected part of an image within the same image press Alt key while dragging the seletion.
To copy a selected part of an image to another image used the Edit > copy and Edit > paste options.
2). Rectangular marquex tool -------
It is used to select an image or a part of it in a rectangular square ellipatical or as a row column that is ane pixel wide.
Do the following stepse to use rectangular marquee tool.
i) In the tool panel click on the rectangular marquee tool the cursur appears as a crosshair sign +.
ii) Place the c
iv) Click the format menu then choose the desired file format you may choose a kind of file format like photoshop file (*psd, *pdd) or any file (*jpcg *gif) etc and then.
v) Click to save button to continue saving a photoshop file.
